Redmi K40 Gaming Edition phone launched in new color, specifications of Redmi K50 also leaked
Xiaomi announced the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition Inverse Scale color option on Weibo. It gets a unique black patterned back, pop-up shoulder buttons with silver hints and glowing red LEDs on the sides of the camera module. The Inverse Scale model has been launched in 12GB + 256GB storage option and is priced at CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs 30,900). It will go on sale from July 29 through online sites in China.
The specifications of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition inverse scale model remain the same as the original model. The phone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. It comes with a 5,065mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front and a 64-megapixel main camera at the back in a triple camera setup. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Coming to the Redmi K50 series, Chinese tipster Panda is bald has posted on Weibo that the range will feature a hole-punch display at the center. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 SoC processor and is likely to offer 67W fast charging support as well. Apart from this, tipster Digital Chat Station shared that Samsung’s E5 ‘Luminescent Material’ display could be in the lineup. The display is expected to come with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. There is no clarity on when the Redmi K50 range will be unveiled, but it is likely to include models like Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+.
